Canine Intake/Dog Surrender
If you would like to surrender your dog, the following conditions apply:
- Intake Hours are Monday-Friday, 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
- Due to our facility limitations, all surrenders must weight 25 lbs. or less.
- We cannot accept overly aggressive animals.
- We can not accept sick animals or animals in need of extensive veterinary care
- We accept surrender dogs from New Jersey residents only.
Exceptions may be made for Adoptable Senior Dogs (8 years old or more) and Special Needs Dogs. Please see a Manager for Details.

We will hold all surrendered animals for a minimum of 48 hours prior to being placed for adoption.
All reclaims after 48 hours will require an Adoption Fee.
